Southeast Nebraska AHEC welcomes Rhonda Drewes to the staff

Southeast Nebraska AHEC is pleased to announce that Rhonda Drewes has joined the staff as an Education Coordinator. Drewes will be working primarily with health professions students on rotations, the SEARCH program, and continuing education. With high energy and a fabulous laugh, Drewes brings a lot of experience and knowledge with her. She recently was honored for 15 years of service at Blue Valley Community Action where she has worked with a variety of programs, including Foster Grandparents, Domestic Violence, and Family Community Services. She is well-versed in the life of non-profits organizations and is creative when it comes to lack of resources. Drewes and her husband Daryl have two children and one adorable granddaughter who has already made several visits to the SE-AHEC office. The move won’t be a big one for Drewes, at least not geographically since her office with Blue Valley was just two doors down the hall from SE-AHEC. Family is very important to Drewes, who loves to cook and entertain. "I’m from a large family, and I like to be with people and be with those who are close to me," she said. That’s why it’s not uncommon for Drewes to host 27 people for dinner on any given weekend!
